Windows

We install windows in all types of commercial projects across New York.

B.R. Johnson's Commercial Window Division brings many years of building restoration and new construction experience to a wide range of applications. We utilize multiple approaches that reflect the wide range of products that we can provide and the diverse types of projects that we have successfully performed.

As a multi-line distributor and installer of high-performance architectural aluminum, clad wood, fiberglass, vinyl and steel windows, as well as curtainwall, storefront and entrance products, BR Johnson is uniquely qualified to provide the evaluation necessary to achieve the best product application for the project.

For many years B.R. Johnson has been involved with a variety of window opening solutions for numerous projects that are on the National Register of Historic Places. Some of these projects include: the bronze door replacement at Loew's State Theatre, the existing window restoration at the New York State Department of Education Building in Albany, the New York Central Railroad Passenger & Freight Station Renovation in Syracuse, the O.M. Edwards and C.W. Snow conversion projects to lofts in Syracuse, the Bradford County Courthouse Window Restoration in Towanda Pennsylvania, and the steel window replication at the Paul Smiths' Electric Light & Railroad Company in Saranac Lake. We've been a part of the renovations at the Hotel Syracuse and the State Tower Building.

We have also performed numerous window replacements in Albany's Washington Park Historic District, Syracuse's Armory Square, North Salina & South Salina Street Historic Districts, Binghamton's Railroad Terminal Historic District (the Kilmer Building), and in Troy's River Street and Washington Park Historic Districts.

Though many of the window upgrades we are involved with are SHPO (State Historic Preservation Office) projects, we also consult about and install a far larger number of jobs that simply need to maintain historic integrity at facilities, such as upstate colleges, churches, schools, and old manufacturing facilities being converted to loft housing.

Although we specialize in creating window solutions for existing buildings and historical renovations, we are also experienced in the requirements of new construction, navigating the technical, administrative and schedule demands of that industry segment.

Our team of knowledgeable salespeople, project managers, technical services and installation personnel work closely with our customers to provide an integrated project delivery approach that is most appropriate to balance performance, aesthetic, budgetary and schedule needs.

BR Johnson is proud to have been a part of projects in the following areas: Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, Utica, Rome, Saratoga Springs, Lake George, Cortland, Ithaca, Binghamton, Elmira, Corning, Skaneateles, Auburn, Geneva, Norwich, Oneonta, Watertown, Kingston, Poughkeepsie, and more.
