The 590 foot long side of the New York State Education Building in Albany facing the Capital is a mosaic of windows, arched and square, small and towering, oak with leaded panes. Listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, when the building had to renovated and the windows restored in 1997, most companies backed away from the complex project. It was a job that required unique products, skilled craftsmen, an attention to detail and an appreciation for history that few businesses had. BR Johnson was perfectly suited to do the job.
That project is just one example of the type of high-profile renovations that BR Johnson completes each year. Traveling New York State, you can see our work at Hamilton College, St. Lawrence University, Russell Sage College, Bard College, Colgate University, the Time Warner building and the Willow Street Lofts in Syracuse just to name a few.
Every job has its own unique applications. Unlike a lot of our competition which tries to fit one brand of window into every building, we use goods from several national suppliers. This gives us the flexibility to choose the right product for your project.
BR Johnson is proud to have been a part of projects in the following areas: Syracuse, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany, Utica, Rome, Saratoga Springs, Lake George, Cortland, Ithaca, Binghamton, Elmira, Corning, Skaneateles, Auburn, Geneva, Norwich, Oneonta, Watertown, Kingston, Poughkeepsie, and more.
